Well, work had me watching via a delay so I missed the banter but thanks all for the fun anyhow!

When you say the circus is postponed, you're not referring to the media or political know-it-alls, right?

Perhaps the lockout is over

nhl lockout cba

Its been 113 days of the NHL lockout and it may finally come to end.  Early this morning Gary Bettman has confirmed that the NHL and the NHLPA have reached a tentative agreement.  The details of this new CBA have not yet been made available.

The NHL Board of Governors and the NHL Players still need to ratify the agreement in order for it to pass.

We may finally get some NHL hockey and most importantly, Penguins Hockey, after all!!

It's about time. I was getting tired of the roller coaster ride. As a fan, I'm bitter about the whole thing, but I understand why it happened. I'll continue to watch every game on TV, but I'm not likely to buy tickets this season. That's my statement to the team. I'm sure it doesn't amount to a hill of beans because they'll still sell every game out. I could probably write a book about all of my thoughts, but at this point, I just want hockey back. Let's go Pens!
Rumors of the very first NHL game will be Pitt at Philly. But apparently the arena is booked for next Sat, so it would have to be an afternoon game. I say if this is true, just move it to pittsburgh
I could see the NHL putting the Pens up against Philly right away. If for no other reason than to get people watching. Even casual hockey fans watch those games for the all out brawls they become. What better way to get viewers back than to crank up the rivalry right away.
